Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you play Flag Quiz, Map Quiz or Capital Quiz on WorldQuizr. The short version: there is no account system anywhere on this site, so we never collect a name, an email address, or a password from you. Every round is generated and scored entirely in your browser, and the only thing WorldQuizr stores about you is your own best score, kept on your own device.
There is no account, so there is very little to explain
WorldQuizr does not ask you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information before playing any of the three quiz modes. There is no registration form, no email field, and no password to set. Because of that, there is no user database on our end containing your name, contact details, or play history tied to an identity: the concept simply doesn't exist in how this site is built.
Local storage: your best score, saved in your own browser
Each quiz mode (Flag, Map and Capital) saves your best score to your browser's localStorage, a standard browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your own device between visits, so you can see whether a new attempt beats your personal record. This information stays on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party, is not linked to any identity, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's own site data settings. Doing so simply resets your saved best score back to zero the next time you play.
Analytics
WorldQuizr uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use tracking cookies and does not build an individual profile of visitors across sites. It reports aggregate information, such as how many people visited a page and roughly how fast it loaded, so we can tell whether the site is working and which pages people actually use. It does not identify you personally, does not track you across other websites, and the data is not sold or shared with advertisers.
Cookies
WorldQuizr does not set marketing or advertising cookies. The only browser-side storage in use is the localStorage best-score feature described above (which is not a cookie and is never sent to a server automatically the way a cookie is) and, if you switch the site's light/dark appearance, a small local preference for that choice. Neither is used for tracking or advertising purposes.
Server and network logs
Like virtually every website, the infrastructure WorldQuizr runs on (Cloudflare) keeps standard technical logs of requests: things like IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, kept for security and reliability purposes such as detecting abuse or diagnosing an outage. These are operational logs at the infrastructure level, not a profile built about you individually, and they are not used for advertising or cross-referenced with your quiz activity in any way.
Fonts, flags and map data are all self-hosted
The flag images, the world map outlines, and the two typefaces used on this site (Baloo 2 and Nunito) are all stored on our own servers and served directly from this domain, rather than fetched from Google Fonts or another third-party host at the moment you load the page. Practically, that means loading WorldQuizr does not trigger a separate request to an outside font or image provider just to render the game, and no third party receives a record of your visit through that route.
Children's privacy
WorldQuizr is a general-audience geography quiz and is not directed specifically at children, but nothing on the site requires any visitor, of any age, to submit personal information in the first place. There is no account system, no form asking for a name or email, and no mechanism by which we could identify a visitor's age even if we wanted to. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone through this site.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data changes meaningfully, for example if an account system or an advertising network were ever added, this page would be updated to reflect that before the change takes effect, not after. Since this policy is a static page rather than something tied to an account, there is no notification list to sign up for; checking back here is the way to see the current version.

Those products have their own separate privacy policies and practices, which we do not control and this policy does not cover; we'd encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit from a link on this site.
